Exeter Excelling
Exeter Excelling - the 700th Anniversary Campaign
Exeter Excelling has been launched to make the College’s aspirations and ideals a reality as it prepares to celebrate its anniversary in 2014 and embark on its eighth century.
"Exeter Excelling - the College's 700th Anniversary Campaign - is all about ensuring that Exeter College will continue to flourish in its eighth century and beyond. We need to protect Oxford's unique form of education for the next generation, and to ensure that financial need is never a barrier to qualified candidates. To this exact end, we have targeted the Campaign at protecting the tutorial system that we prize, providing financial and other resources for all students, and building a 21st century campus in the heart of Oxford. It represents the opportunity of a lifetime for those of us who benefited from our time at Exeter and for other friends of the College to give something back." - Mark Houghton-Berry (1976, Literae Humaniores), Chairman of the Campaign.
The Campaign has three goals:
To guarantee the Tutorial
To transform the Collegiate Campus
To attract and support the very best students and scholars
The Campaign Goal is to raise £45m as we celebrate Exeter’s 700th Anniversary in 2014.
