The Campaign at a Glance

Exeter Excelling: the campaign for Exeter’s 700th Anniversary is founded on three guiding principles which embody what we believe to be the Collegiate Ideal.
Guaranteeing the Tutorial
At the heart of the Collegiate Ideal is tutorial teaching. We believe that no other form of teaching is as effective or has a greater impact than when a student receives one to one tuition from an academic who is a world leader in their field.

Transforming the Collegiate Campus
We believe that the Collegiate Ideal is enhanced by a physical space that encourages cross disciplinary contact and fosters a supportive, closely-knit community. We also believe that offering College accommodation is one of the most effective ways to address student hardship by offering quality rooms at reasonable cost during term times. Students are thereby not locked into a 12 month contract for a 6 month academic year, as they often are on the open market.

Securing financial resources to attract and support the very best student and scholars
The College is committed to providing extensive student funding to ensure that all students can remain at Exeter for the duration of their degree. We believe that it is imperative that students are able to complete their course, no matter what financial hardships they or their parents may face during their time at Exeter, The Campaign will raise funds to provide a wide range of support for both academic and extra curricular activities to support and enhance the experience for each student.
