Transforming the Collegiate Campus

Transforming the Collegiate Campus
We believe that the Collegiate Ideal is enhanced by a physical space that encourages cross disciplinary contact and fosters a supportive, closely-knit community. We also believe that offering College accommodation is one of the most effective ways to address student hardship by offering quality rooms at reasonable cost during term times. Students are thereby not locked into a 12 month contract for a 6 month academic year, as they often are on the open market.
Old Members, Parents and Friends who wish to help transform the Collegiate Campus, providing 21st century facilities, may wish to make a gift to support one or more of the following areas.
The purchase and refurbishment of a second site, perhaps through a contribution towards:
- a student bedroom
- a teaching room
- library/communal work space
- common rooms
- quadrangle and gardens
- a lecture and performance theatre
The provision of high quality graduate accommodation at Exeter House, perhaps through a contribution towards:
- a student bedroom
- a student flat
- one of the two common rooms
- the new "lodge"
Restoration and refurbishment of the historic site on Turl Street, perhaps through a gift towards:
- a student bedroom
- a staircase
- the library
- the teaching rooms
- the IT provision and computer rooms
- the College Gym and other sporting facilities
- the archives, their storage and an area for research
- the refurbishment and augmentation of the JCR and MCR
Gifts can be made towards the funding in whole or in part of any of these projects which will enhance the quality of facilities available for all students and Fellows of the College.
