Event for Teachers & Their Students

TBD - Tentatively April 2010

Our first event in 2009 for Exonians who have gone on to become teachers was a huge success - so we've decided to make it an annual event! Due to some logistical difficulties, however, it is currently postponed and a date for rescheduling is yet to be determined. We hope to offer this in late April.

Old Members in the teaching profession are invited to bring up to three gifted and talented students (Years 11-13) from their school for an afternoon at Exeter that will include a tour of the College, a chance to speak to current students and a talk with an Exonian (TBD) in maths or sciences, followed by tea.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact the Development Office (01865 279619).

Places at the Event:
The event became fully booked very quickly last year, so we suggest replying as early as possible. Because interest in last year's event far outstripped the number of places available, priority will be given to Old Members who are currently teachers and who will themselves bring the students. We regret that the invitation cannot be passed on to a colleague and does not extend to children of Old Members (unless they are pupils at the same school).

Please mark this event in your diary; formal invitations* will be sent out closer to the date.

* Invitations will be sent digitally to those for whom we have email addresses to help us reduce our impact on the environment as well as the printing and postage costs that are passed on to Old Members and Friends. Do let us know if you strongly prefer to receive a hard copy of the invitation.
