Friends

Exeter has a growing number of Friends, ranging from parents of former students, friends of Fellows and the Rector, to previous visitors to Summer Schools, as well as others who have a special interest in the College and its aims. Friends are invited to become part of a strong and growing network within a vibrant, intellectual community. We hope you will take an active interest in the life and work of the College.
Events
Friends are invited to attend events throughout the year, ranging from world-class lectures and garden parties to various dinners and drinks parties in London and other major cities, where there will be an opportunity to meet like-minded people linked to Exeter. Some of these events include the Association Dinner, held every two years.
Visiting Exeter
We are always happy to welcome Friends to the College in their own right; please just make yourself known at the Lodge. You may enjoy coming to Evensong in our wonderful Victorian Gothic Chapel (Sunday, Tuesday and Friday evenings) or wandering around our peaceful Fellows' Garden.
Accommodation in College
Friends benefit from the Old Member rate of £48.50 per person per night. Normally, bookings can be taken only out of Full Term, and availability will depend on other residential bookings. For more details on booking a room in Exeter as well as other options nearby, please see our accommodation page.
Keeping in Touch
We invite you to receive our quarterly electronic newsletter Exeter Matters, as well as copies of the College Register and our College magazine Exon, which give a flavour of Exeter College today. Published every autumn, they report on the news and achievements of our students, Old Members, Parents and Friends.
