Exeter College is delighted to welcome Pamela Stephenson as Director of Development and Alumni Relations.  Pamela succeeds Katrina Hancock, who has been instrumental in establishing Exeter as a respected leader in the Development and Alumni Relations sphere and who achieved great success with the Exeter Excelling Campaign, as indicated by the opening of the College’s Cohen Quad in March.

Pamela’s career has spanned the university and cultural sectors in the UK and, most recently, she has gained international experience at the University of Western Australia where she led the Development team to achieve the goals of the AUS $400 million New Century Campaign, the largest initiative of its kind in the state.

Commenting on her appointment, Exeter’s Rector, Professor Sir Rick Trainor, said: “We at Exeter are extremely pleased to have appointed Pamela Stephenson as the College’s Director of Development and Alumni Relations.  Her diverse experience, in two continents, in these fields will be of great value to the College in moving our fundraising and our contact with alumni into their next phases.”

Pamela commented: “Working overseas has been a tremendous experience but I am now looking forward to returning to the UK to take on this major role. I began my Development career at St Hugh’s College and have always wished to return to Oxford, which I find both inspiring and energising.  Exeter College has a special reputation for being a warm and welcoming place and I am very much looking forward to meeting alumni and donors during my first few months in the role.”

Pamela takes up her appointment on 5 June.
