Exeter hosts fourth and final Symposium

Last Saturday, 17th May saw Exeter celebrate its academic excellence with the fourth and final 700th anniversary Symposium. This event, conceptualised by Dr Kai Hebel (Bennett Boskey Career Development Fellow in Politics and International Relations), looked at the economic rise of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa) in a ‘Post-American World’. Among the speakers at this event were Professor Joseph Nye (1958, PPE) and Sir David Warren (1971, English). 70 alumni, students and other guests attended the lecture before enjoying afternoon tea in the Rector’s garden on arguably the nicest day of the year so far.
