Exeter College announces Trinity Term Organ Recital schedule

Building on the success of the Michaelmas and Hilary Term organ recital series, Exeter College Chapel will continue to highlight renowned and burgeoning artists in its Trinity Term recitals. Each Tuesday of term at 1.10 pm, a different organist will play in the Chapel. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Professor Marguerite Dupree, the recitals will be followed by a free drinks reception where audience members can meet the organist and discuss the recital.

This year’s recitals have been a testament to Exeter’s goal of promoting diverse musicians. In Michaelmas, Exeter’s recital series was composed entirely of female organists, likely a first amongst Oxford and Cambridge colleges. Since then, our organisers have maintained a balanced repertoire of male and female performers.

The recitals are open to the public and free to attend as a means of broadening access to music in Oxford.  If you are not a member of Exeter College simply report to the Porters’ Lodge at the Turl Street entrance on arrival around one o’clock.
