Graduating & Getting Your MA

Once you have completed your course at Oxford, you can receive your degree in person or in absentia. Those in possession of a BA or BFA may apply for the degree of MA in or after the 21st term after matriculation. Those who read for a 'Master's level' undergraduate degree do not get an MA but gain MA status after the same length of time.

Attend a Graduation Ceremony

If you would like to book a place at a Graduation Ceremony in Oxford to receive your degree or your MA, choose a date from the list, complete the application form PDF and send it to Sally Jones in College Office. If you are taking your MA, please include a cheque for £30 payable to 'The Bursar, Exeter College'.

Take Your Degree or MA in Absentia

If you prefer to get your degree or MA in absentia, your name will go forward at the next available ceremony after your application is received, and the certificate will be sent to you after the ceremony. Download and complete the application form and return it to Sally Jones in the College Office (details above). Again, please include a cheque for £30 payable to 'The Bursar, Exeter College' if you are taking your MA.

Photographs

Graduation photographs are taken by Studio8. If you have any queries, including asking for copies of photos of previous ceremonies, please contact them directly.
