Chapel Services

Morning Prayer takes place each weekday morning at 8.30 am. Evening and Sunday Services take place during term time as follows:

9.00am College Eucharist
A simple communion service with organ music, followed by a good breakfast.


6.00pm Choral Evensong
A traditional service with the choir and a visiting preacher. Members of College are invited to join the Chaplain and preacher for drinks after the service.

At least once a term a service of Holy Communion is held on Sunday evening, providing an opportunity for all Christians in College to join together in Eucharistic worship. This is followed by a special dinner in hall.

Special Services and Preachers

Special services take place several times a term to celebrate important Feasts and events. Full details of this term’s special services and preachers are available from the Term Card.

Organ Recitals

Organ Recitals take place every Tuesday during term time at 1.15 pm. These feature an exciting array of players comprising visiting cathedral organists, London and international recitalists, other Oxford Organ Scholars and Directors of Music, as well as current and former Exeter Organ Scholars. Admission is free, with a retiring collection taken.

Choral Concerts

The Chapel Choir puts on regular concerts in the Chapel. Recent repertoire has included Vierne Messe Solennelle, Faure Requiem, Parry Songs of Farewell and Handel Alexander’s Feast. The highlight of the calendar is the Turl Street Arts Festival, which takes place in the Fifth Week of Hilary Term. It is a week-long celebration of the diverse cultural life of Oxford and is held in conjunction with Lincoln and Jesus Colleges.
