Do morals matter? Professor Joe Nye webinar available to watch now

On Thursday 29 October, just five days before the American election 2020, Professor Joe Nye (1958, PPE, Honorary Fellow) presented to an online audience his thoughts on the American election and how morals fit in to international relations.

Professor Joseph Nye is University Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus at Harvard and former Dean of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is one of the world’s leading scholars of international relations, and his talk certainly lived up to his reputation. Wonderfully clear, concise and substantive, Professor Nye concluded the talk by responding to an array of questions which added extra dimensions to what was already a fantastic and easily digestible evening.

The recording of Do Morals Matter: The American Election and Donald Trump can be viewed here.

The book upon which the talk was based, Do Morals Matter? Presidents and Foreign Policy from FDR to Trump, published by Oxford University Press, is available in bookstores now.
