Accommodation & Facilities

The Exeter College off-site graduate accommodation, known as Exeter House, is a campus consisting of recently renovated early Victorian houses, listed former convent buildings, and new buildings on Iffley Road in East Oxford. It offers accommodation for up to 106 students, about two-thirds of the graduate student body of Exeter College. The choice of accommodation ranges from studio flats to en-suite bedrooms to bedrooms with shared facilities in flats of various sizes. Aside from two studio flats, there are 86 study bedrooms in 21 flats. The Exeter House campus also offers two spacious common rooms (with TV, piano and IT facilities), a laundry facility and roofed bike racks. The entire campus site is enclosed by a wall with card access through the gates.
Exeter House has a rich social life – pot-luck dinners, BBQs, parties, and movie and games nights are organized by an elected student representative, the Exeter House President. Exeter House also hosts a termly seminar where Exeter College Fellows introduce their research in accessible format to Exeter graduates and undergraduates living on Iffley Road.
The College also owns eight flats and houses, some of which are usually available to married students.
In the College itself, three meals a day are available in Hall during term, payment being made, as for undergraduates, by electronic key or by signing on for dinner. Guests may be brought to all meals except breakfast. During the vacations lunch is available in the Middle Common Room.
