Richard Major publishes Begat

From the author of Quintember comes a darkly satirical novel, Begat.

Richard Major (1989, Theology) has published his latest novel, Begat. It is a blackly comic tale set in a grisly English university where the students invent a mascot: an imaginary student. This monstrous product of Photoshop acquires all that is worst of its creators’ personalities and becomes a giant of social media, eventually rising to power and inflicting destruction.

You can read Richard Major’s article about Begat the Oxford Today website on and you can purchase a copy online from the publisher IndieBooks.

In 2016 Richard Major published Quintember, which was nominated for the People’s Book Prize.
