Professor Shamita Das, BSc MSc Calcutta, MS Boston, MA Oxf, ScD MIT

Professor Das is an Emeritus Fellow in Earth Sciences, having retired from the College in 2014. Her research is concerned with Earthquake seismology.

From 2001 to 2013, Professor Das was the Eyres Tutorial Fellow for Earth Sciences at Exeter College. In addition, from 2005 to 2013 she was also Professor in Earth Sciences at Oxford University.
