If you are considering a career change, moving to a new country, or simply want to get in touch with long-lost friends, why not go to your College Community? ExConnect is a mentoring and networking community set up exclusively for alumni of Exeter College. Whatever you’re looking for, this is a vital resource that will keep you connected with your Exeter family.

Once signed up, you can connect with other Exonians, search for others in your field, or find a mentor who can help you in your first career steps after Exeter. You can also take the wonderful and rewarding opportunity to become a mentor and give guidance to our young alumni. Our mentors are able to control precisely what help they offer, with everything from advice over email to facilitating work experience, and can personally control who they mentor and when. ExConnect is the perfect place to make long-lasting connections with your fellow alumni, continuing the warm and friendly Exeter experience long after you have left College.

Creating an account is simple and quick; and if you are already a member of LinkedIn, importing your information takes a matter of seconds. Just head to ExConnect, and see where your new connections can take you.

Using the alumni network last year was a productive experience for me. I had three bouts of work experience as a result of your hard work…I was so grateful for it, as it put me in a strong position for pupillage and scholarship applications. (My experiences) came up in just about every interview – so I’m grateful to you for putting me in touch!’ – Charlie Colenutt (History, 2013)

If you would like any help getting in touch with a specific individual, or just need more assistance, just let the Development Office know what you’re searching for – we will be happy to help you connect with the right people. On the other hand, if you would like to share your time and experience with fellow alumni and students, we want you! We are always looking for more of our alumni to contribute to the Exeter family, so if you are happy to be contacted for careers advice, or are interested in taking part in a mentorship, please let us know.

I have on a regular basis received requests of both young alumni and students from the career services who are looking for either a career change or wanting to learn more about international development, and potential opportunities available. I can definitely vouch for the excellent services provided by the team, who are able to connect locally and globally the alumni and students, whilst also being dedicated towards strengthening the network- both online and offline. Thank you to the team for your support and guidance.  – Jasdeep Randhawa (2010, Law)
