All Alumni who studied Jurisprudence are invited to return to Exeter for this year’s very special Fortescue Society Dinner.
The academic year 19-20 marks the 100th anniversary of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919, which allowed women to qualify as barristers or solicitors for the first time. This event will be a celebration marking the 100th anniversary, alongside the 40th Anniversary of co-education at Exeter College.
The after dinner speaker will be alumna Christina Blacklaws (1985, Jurisprudence). Christina is the former President of the Law Society of England and Wales; only the fifth woman to hold this office.
