Exeter College is one of the oldest colleges within the University of Oxford, with a reputation for being small and friendly, whilst also being a busy institution. We have three sites – one on Turl Street site in central Oxford, one on Walton Street (the Cohen Quad), and one on the Iffley Road.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Housekeeping team on a day-to-day basis, in order to provide a high-quality service to the residents of the Turl Street site (a mix of student accommodation, offices, and teaching rooms). In particular, the postholder will undertake all aspects of supervising 17 staff, as well as monitoring overall cleaning standards, overseeing stock management, ensuring that outsourced services are carried out in a timely fashion, and deputising for the Accommodation Manager when they are away.

This busy and varied position would suit someone with a background in Housekeeping or Facilities (ideally within a residential student environment), who has a ‘can-do’ attitude and a professional manner. Strong interpersonal skills are a must, as are experience of supervising staff, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to successfully manage a constantly changing set of demands and deadlines in a calm and efficient manner.

The post is for 35 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday (but with occasional weekend work when required).

The salary is up to £25,280 per annum (equivalent to £13.89 per hour). In addition, the College offers a range of benefits including a generous annual leave allowance, contributory pension scheme, and a free meal whilst on duty.
