Exeter College, part of the University of Oxford, is seeking to appoint a Kitchen Porter to work as part of our busy Kitchen team.

Duties will include ensuring that the kitchen, servery, and plate- and pot-wash areas are maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene, and cleaning pans, glasses, plates and cutlery to the required standards. The postholder will also ensure that all utensils are stored correctly, and will assist with stock control and rotation.

This position would ideally suit someone with the ability to juggle multiple demands and work successfully under pressure, and who is a good team player with strong verbal communication skills.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, and including evenings, weekends and some split shifts each week.

The hourly rate of pay is £10.20 per hour (i.e. £21,216 per annum). In addition, we offer a range of benefits including a generous annual leave entitlement, a meal whilst on duty, and optional membership of contributory pension & healthcare schemes.
