Volunteers

Volunteers act as 'ambassadors' for the College to other Old Members, usually focused on their matriculation year group. Our volunteers are in regular touch with many more members of their year than we could possibly be! They therefore play a vital role in helping their peers to stay connected to Exeter and encouraging more people to get involved. The role can be adapted to suit the individual personality and strengths of each volunteer, but normally includes:

  • Ensuring your peers stay in touch with the College by writing to them annually/bi-annually and tracking down lost Old Members;
  • Meeting up with other Old Members for an informal chat about the College's vision and priorities and how they could help.

Volunteers are given support and advice from the Development Office and are invited to an annual training session, where they can meet up with other volunteers and find out what they do. We do want to have at least one volunteer for every year group, so, if you're interested, do please contact the Development Office for more information.
