Exeter students help Blues secure Rugby League Varsity victory

Oxford’s Blues team secured its 11th win in succession in the Rugby League Varsity match against Cambridge, with two Exeter students helping to achieve the win. Rufus Pierce Jones (2018, PPE) and Joe Lloyd (2016, Physics) helped Oxford to maintain a winning streak that stretches back to 2010, as the Blues won 32-20 at Oxford’s Iffley Road ground.

Three more Exeter students took part in the reserves match. Will Osborne (2017, Earth Sciences), Mark Hanna (2015, Medicine) and Mohammed Memfis (2019, Politics and Geography) helped Oxford’s Maroons secure a comfortable win, 46-14.
