Background

I am a DPhil candidate in Law at the University of Oxford. I previously completed the BCL and MPhil in Law at Exeter College, Oxford and my BA LLB (Hons) at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Before returning to academia, I worked as a Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant at the Supreme Court of India and as a corporate lawyer at ICICI Bank. At Exeter, I have served as Junior Dean and Law Outreach Tutor.

Teaching

I teach Constitutional Law and Administrative Law at Exeter College. I have taught across a range of subjects at Oxford, including Human Rights Law, Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, Family Law and Feminist Theory, as well as at universities in France and London. My teaching interests lie primarily in public law, particularly constitutional and administrative law and human rights and equality law, alongside legal and feminist theory.

Research Interests

My doctoral research examines substantive equality for women in the context of polygyny in India and South Africa, focusing on questions of constitutional equality, fundamental rights, gender and legal pluralism. My broader research interests include family law, human rights and equality law, feminist constitutional theory, comparative law and feminist theory.
