Exeter College Summer Programme: Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

How to Apply

The deadline for applying to ECSP is June 1st. However, the Programme operates a rolling admissions process and is likely to be full before the deadline, so early application is strongly recommended.

To apply, complete the online application form and provide the following documents in support of your application:

(1) A transcript. We will only accept original transcripts sent by post, or .pdf copies e-mailed directly from your Registrar, or scanned copies certified by your Study Abroad Office and e-mailed from a recognised institutional email address.

(2) An academic reference. Your referee should be someone who has taught you as part of your degree. References should be e-mailed directly by the referee using her/his institutional e-mail address. Referees should comment on your academic ability as well as how you will benefit from and contribute to ECSP.

(3) A sample of graded written work. We will accept scanned .pdf copies e-mailed with your application. The work should have been submitted and graded as part of your degree and include instructor comments. We are looking for evidence of your ability to express your ideas in written English.

(4) A photo of yourself from the shoulders up which is a .jpg file, 300dpi, and 3 ½ x 4 ½ cm e-mailed your application.

(5) Proof of English language proficiency. This is only required for non-native English speakers studying at Universities whose language of instruction is not English. Please see the ‘English Language Requirement’ page. Scanned .pdf copies can by e-mailed with your application.

By submitting your application, you are confirming that you have read, understood and will abide by ECSP’s Terms and Conditions, Rules & Regulations and Codes of Conduct. Before applying to the Programme, please make sure you have read our Terms and Conditions and that you understand the visa requirements. It is your responsibility to obtain the correct visa (see the Visa and Insurance, and Safety, Emergency and Codes of Conduct section).

Please keep in mind that you may also have to apply through your University.

Admission and Accepting Your Place

Your application will only be assessed for admission once we have received your (1) application form (2) all supporting documents and (3) £50 administration fee. You will then receive an admission decision within 2 weeks.

If you have been successful, we will send an offer letter via e-mail. Please note that an offer letter does not guarantee your place on the Programme. Once you have received a formal offer letter you should pay your Programme fee: only once the Programme fee is paid is your place on the Programme secure.

If you have not paid your Programme fee within 30 days of receiving an offer letter, Exeter reserves the right to withdraw your application.
