Exeter College Fellow Co-Authors latest book to Explore Role of Analytics in Healthcare

Exeter College warmly invites members of its community to a special event celebrating the launch of The Analytics Edge in Healthcare, co-authored by Exeter College Fellow in Management and Associate Professor of Operations Management, Dr Agni Orfanoudaki. The book explores the transformative potential of data analytics and artificial intelligence in clinical practice and healthcare decision-making.

The Analytics Edge in Healthcare offers a practical and accessible guide to the latest advancements in healthcare analytics, covering topics such as machine learning, optimisation, and their application in real-world healthcare settings. It draws on case studies and interdisciplinary research to provide insights into how data-driven tools can enhance patient care, streamline operations, and inform policy decisions.

The event will take place on Thursday, 26 June 2025, from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Guests are welcome from 5:00 p.m. for tea and coffee, with the evening concluding with a networking reception featuring drinks and light refreshments.

Dr Orfanoudaki will be joined by co-authors Holly Wiberg (Carnegie Mellon University) and Jean Pauphilet (London Business School) to share insights from the book and discuss how analytics can be more deeply embedded into clinical training, medical education, and healthcare systems.

The event brings together researchers, students, alumni, and professionals working across healthcare and analytics, and is open to all members of the University and wider public, and will also be livestreamed. Attendance is free but registration is required via Eventbrite.
