Exeter College launches ‘Our Story is Your Story’ campaign

On 29 November, over 300 members of the Exeter community came together under starry skies to launch the ‘Our Story is Your Story’ campaign. 

The Chapel and Front Quad were transformed with a light and sound installation that told the story of the College’s first 711 years. The artists, Peter Walker (sculptor) and David Harper (composer), known as Luxmuralis, reinterpreted our familiar “sense of place,” and turned the College into a canvas for its own beautiful story.

The ‘Our Story is Your Story’ campaign, as the Rector shared on the night, is centred in the truth that “Every one of you has a story to tell about this remarkable historic College, a story that means Exeter has a place in your hearts and in your lives.” 

We want future generations of Exonians, when they turn off of Turl Street and walk through our gates for the first time, to find the College you know and love – and more. 

We want to bring the life-changing moments and places that shaped your story to the next generation. But we can’t do it without you. 

Because that’s our story: Centuries of people discovering themselves and passing it on.
