Exeter College (part of the University of Oxford) is seeking to appoint an Early Printed Books Cataloguer to undertake project work during a 56-week contract. The post is immediately available.

The role will be responsible for cataloguing – to Bodleian standards – early printed items in the College’s Special Collections, with a high level of copy-specific information.

This position would suit someone with a keen eye for detail, and the willingness and ability to work without supervision. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Practical experience of cataloguing early printed books (using DRCMR, MARC 21, and RDA) is essential, as is practical experience of researching and recording copy-specific information for early printed books.

You will be paid the pro-rata equivalent of £34,982 – £40,855 per annum, for working 15 hours per week. We anticipate that you will normally work 2 days per week.

Benefits include a generous annual leave entitlement (pro-rata), and optional membership of contributory pension & healthcare schemes.
