Exeter College proposes, if there is a suitable candidate, to appoint a Stipendiary Lecturer in Law. This is a fixed-term role, tenable from 1 October 2025 until 30 September 2026.

The Lecturer will be required to undertake 192 ‘contact’ hours per annum of tutorial or class teaching of undergraduates for the College (or, by exchange, undergraduates of other Colleges). In addition, they will be required to set and mark College examinations, and to participate fully in the undergraduate Admissions process and Access/ Outreach activities, and in the running of Law within the College.

The Lecturer must be able to teach all of the following papers:

  • Constitutional Law

In addition, it would be useful if the Lecturer is able to teach one or more of the following papers:

  • Roman Law
  • Contract
  • Tort
  • Jurisprudence
  • Administrative Law

The salary will be within a range £33,137 – £36,616 per annum. In addition, a range of other generous benefits are available.
