Alumnus publishes Britain, China, and Colonial Australia

Exeter alumnus Benjamin Mountford (2008, History) has published Britain, China, and Colonial Australia with Oxford University Press.

Britain, China, and Colonial Australia is the first detailed study of Australian and Chinese interaction with the British Empire in the long nineteenth century (regarded as the period from 1789 to 1914). Dr Mountford draws on a range of hitherto unexplored UK and Australian archives to offer fresh insights into Australia’s place in the British Empire and its role in shaping migration history.
