Register Signing

Signing the Register is an important mark of the beginning your studies at Exeter College.

The Register is a physical record of every student of Exeter College. Your signature in the Register means leaving your mark on the college forever, and it signals the commencement of your journey with us. The Register is treated with care and respect as an historic document of the college. The Rector is present as you sign to formally welcome you to the college. You must wear your postgraduate gown, but not sub fusc (full academic dress).

N.B.: if you have signed the Exeter College Register previously there is no need to book a slot again.

As a postgraduate student, you are given the flexibility to choose when you would like to sign the Register during Freshers’ Week. Please keep in mind that you need to be punctual for your booking as timeslots are very brief. Therefore, when booking your signing slot, ensure there are no scheduling conflicts with sufficient time before and after your booking to accommodate unforeseen delays.

Register Signings will take place in the Rector’s Dining Room. Bookings will be available during the following days & times:
Thursday , 8 October 2026: ?:00-?:00
Friday, 9 October 2026: ?:00-?:00
