BBC to televise The People’s Portrait, directed by Tim Dunn

On Sunday 13 April the BBC will televise The People’s Portrait, a documentary directed and produced by Exonian Tim Dunn (1982, Modern History).

The People’s Portrait reveals the story of Simon Weston, a Falklands veteran and the first person selected to have his portrait painted for the National Portrait Gallery by a public vote.

Presented by Fiona Bruce, the programme follows Simon Weston as he sits for fine artist Nicky Philipps. It will be aired on BBC One at 5.35pm on Sunday 13 April.
