Become a Friend of the Chapel today!

Exeter College has created a new programme for celebrating Exeter’s stunning chapel and the good work of the chapel and its choir.

The chapel is a place for worship and quiet reflection, a place for creating music and art, a place for community, welcoming to all. By becoming a Friend of the Chapel you can support these activities and help to preserve the fabric of the chapel – the first listed building in Oxford – and enhance the chapel’s outreach.

On the official launch of the Friends of the Chapel programme Exeter College Chaplain Reverend Andrew Allen said: ‘It is my hope that we can build upon the network of people associated with the chapel, and through our different abilities and gifts, support the chapel’s work, the activities of the choir, and maintain the chapel’s fabric. I hope this will allow exciting and new opportunities for the chapel to serve the College and the wider community, and would be delighted if you would consider whether this might be of interest to you.’

As a Friend of the Chapel you will receive an annual newsletter from the Chaplain about the life of the Chapel and the impact of your support, an invitation to Evensong followed by a drinks reception with the Chaplain and choir each Spring, and special recognition in the College’s annual Thank You report. You can become a Friend of the Chapel by setting up a regular gift to the chapel of £100 each year.

Alternatively, by setting up an annual donation of £1000 to the chapel, you can become a Patron of the Chapel. Patrons of the Chapel receive all of the same benefits as Friends of the Chapel and in addition will be sent complimentary tickets to attend an Exeter College Choir concert or an Exeter College Choir CD, as you prefer.

Qualifying gifts to the chapel should be set up as a monthly, quarterly or annual Direct Debit.
