On Wednesday 17 March medics of Exeter past and present joined together at the inaugural event to launch the Bannister Society, named in honour of Sir Roger Bannister (1946, Physiological Sciences).
The Rector paid tribute to the Bannister family, before Exeter Fellow in Preclinical Medicine Professor Neil Herring, a Consultant Cardiologist and British Heart Foundation Senior Fellow, gave a fantastically absorbing talk entitled ‘Weathering an electrical storm: a matter of life and death’.
