Professor Christina de Bellaigue, Fellow in History, will hold the inaugural conference for her TORCH-funded research network – Rags to Riches? Experiences of Social Mobility – on Friday 19 June.
The conference on “Rethinking social mobilty” will bring together policy-makers and scholars from history, anthropology, sociology, education and economics and will showcase cutting-edge research rethinking social mobility as an experience and process.
TORCH – The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities – is a University of Oxford initiative designed to stimulate and support interdisciplinary research.
