31st May 2020 The Reverend Andrew Allen, Exeter College Chaplain

Chapel Service: Pentecost

During the COVID-19 crisis Exeter College is providing Chapel services and spiritual reflection online, led by the Reverend Andrew Allen.

This Sunday’s service is a Choral Eucharist according to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, celebrating the Feast of Pentecost. Today is also known as Whitsunday, because it  traditionally was a date for confirmation, when those being confirmed wore white. During the service, the windows which are depicted in the lesson and epistle are shown in the video.

As usual, the service draws upon the recordings library and fresh material. Especial thanks go to the preacher, Carris Jones, who is also our singing teacher.
