Dr Astrid Diener’s The Role of Imagination in Culture and Society republished

The Role of Imagination in Culture and Society: Owen Barfield’s Early Work, by Dr Astrid Diener (1993, English), has been republished. The new edition contains a new foreword by Jane Hipolito.

The Role of Imagination in Culture and Society was the first academic study on Oxford author Owen Barfield, the last member of the ‘Inklings’ group that counted JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis among its members. Since its original publication, the book has become a standard text for anyone researching Owen Barfield.
