Dr Elizabeth Leach awarded the Dent Medal 2013

Congratulations to Dr Elizabeth Leach, Exeter’s lecturer in Music, who has been awarded one of the most prestigious awards in Musicology, the Dent Medal, by the Royal Musical Association.

The RMA praised Dr Leach for her remarkable and extensive publication record and her service to the scholarly community as co-editor of the journal Plainsong and Medieval Music (CUP) and as chair and council member of the Plainsong and Medieval Music Society. In addition, the award recognised her role as a founder member of the Medieval Song Project (Institute of Musical Research) and as a director of the Digital Image Archive of Medieval Music.
