Dr Helen Spencer reflects on 150 years of Early English Text Society
Dr Helen Spencer, Fellow in English and Editorial Secretary of the Early English Text Society, reflected on the Society’s history and close links with Oxford in an article in Oxford Today this month.
The EETS, as it is affectionately abbreviated, has just celebrated its 150th birthday with a party to remember its founder, the remarkable Frederick James Furnivall (1825-1910).
