Dr Herman T Salton wins Chadwick Alger Prize for Dangerous Diplomacy

Dr Herman T Salton (2007, International Relations) has won the International Studies Association’s Chadwick Alger Prize for his book Dangerous Diplomacy: Bureaucracy, Power Politics, and the Role of the UN Secretariat in Rwanda.

Dr Salton published Dangerous Diplomacy with Oxford University Press in August 2017. The book, which builds on the research undertaken by Dr Salton during his MPhil at Exeter College, reassesses the role of the UN Secretariat during the Rwandan genocide.

The Chadwick Alger Prize honours the best book on international organisation published in the last year.
