Dr Martin Davy awarded the IMechE Dugald Clerk Prize for engineering paper
Exeter Fellow in Engineering Dr Martin Davy has been awarded the IMechE Dugald Clerk Prize for a paper that he co-authored entitled “Fuel Spray Structure, Flame Propagation and Charge Motion at Fuel Impingement Locations within a DISI Engine”.
The Dugald Clerk Prize is awarded annually to the author or authors of an original paper dealing with marine/automobile internal combustion engines or for contributions or achievements in that field.
The full paper reference is Rimmer, J.E.T., Davy, M. H., Garner, C.P., Hargrave, G.K., and Richardson, D., “Fuel Spray Structure, Flame Propagation and Charge Motion at Fuel Impingement Locations within a DISI Engine”, Proc. IMechE Conference on Fuel Injection Systems for IC Engines, London, 14-15 March 2012, pp.199-214, ISBN 978-0-85709-210-6.
Dr Davy and his co-authors will visit the IMechE headquarters on 29 October for the prize presentation.
