Emily Jeremiah (1993, Modern Languages) appointed Professor of Contemporary Literature and Gender Studies
Congratulations to Emily Jeremiah on her appointment as Professor of Contemporary Literature and Gender Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London. Professor Jeremiah came to Exeter in 1993 to read Modern Languages before reading for a DPhil at Swansea University.
Professor Jeremiah’s research interests focus on literature, gender and ethics. This year she published her third book, Willful Girls: Gender and Agency in Contemporary Anglo-American and German Fiction. Prior to taking up her current position she taught at Helsinki University in Finland and at Goldsmiths, University of London, before joining Royal Holloway in 2007.
