Exeter bids good luck and farewell to William Jensen, College Bursar

Bursar William Jensen will leave Exeter College this week after 12 years' service, with Peter Warner appointed as his successor.

After 12 years as Bursar (latterly Finance & Estates Bursar) at Exeter College, during which time he has made a huge contribution to a number of major projects (notably Cohen Quad in Walton Street, Exeter’s largest single physical expansion ever) as well as to the general administration and communal life of the College, William Jensen has decided it is time to launch another stage of his career as Executive Director of Tacit Investment Management, a post he takes up in October 2019.  William will continue to live in Oxford.  The College held a very well attended garden party for Fellows and staff in William’s honour in July, and there will be a formal farewell occasion on his final day at Exeter, 13 September 2019.

The College is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Warner (who has been working alongside William Jensen since 27 August 2019) as Finance and Estates Bursar with effect from 14 September 2019.   Peter has spent his 30 year career to date at Lazard and Gleacher Shacklock in senior management positions and specialising in strategic and financial advice. He graduated from St John’s College, Oxford where he read Modern History.
