Exeter College alumna appointed Director of the Landmark Trust
Exeter College alumna Hannah Parham FSA (2001, Modern History) has been appointed as the new Director of the Landmark Trust, a charity dedicated to rescuing historic buildings and making them available for people to enjoy. She will take up the position in January 2027, succeeding Dr Anna Keay OBE, who is stepping down after 14 years in the role.
An historic buildings specialist, Hannah brings extensive experience in heritage conservation, having held senior positions at Donald Insall Associates, the Churches Conservation Trust and Historic England. Since 2023, she has served as Head of Places Regeneration for London and the South-East at Historic England, overseeing work on heritage-at-risk, grants and blue plaques.
Hannah began her career as a listing inspector at English Heritage, following her studies in Modern History at Exeter College and History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art. She has also held advisory roles at the Victorian Society and the National Trust and is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London.
Speaking about her appointment, Hannah said: “I am looking forward to working with all who enable Landmark to flourish and who, like me, cherish Landmark for its unique role in heritage conservation.”
Alan Leibowitz, Chair of the Landmark Trust, praised Hannah’s “extensive expertise in historic buildings” and her “outstanding gift for bringing heritage to life.”
Exeter College warmly congratulates Hannah on her appointment and wishes her every success in her new role.
