Exeter College Chapel Choir to be broadcast on Radio 4
Exeter College Chapel Choir will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 long wave in April.
The Choir will feature on The Daily Service, radio’s longest-running daily programme, which comprises quarter of an hour of religious music and readings.
Performances will include the premiere of Nicholas O’Neill’s This Joyful Eastertide, Agnus Dei from Grayston Ives’ Missa Brevis, and two wonderful old favourites: Hubert Parry’s Never weather-beaten sail and Sir Edward Bairstow’s Let all mortal flesh.
The choir will be directed by Exeter College’s Organ Scholar, George de Voil, with Michael Papadopoulos playing the organ.
The four programmes will be broadcast at 9.45 each morning between Tuesday, 9 April and Thursday, 11 April, and also on Tuesday 30 April. They can also be downloaded shortly after the broadcasts from the Radio 4 website.
