Exeter College student wins Edgell Sheppee Prize from the Department of Engineering

Exeter College student Azka Adziman (2023, MEng Engineering Science) has been awarded the Department of Engineering Science’s Edgell Sheppee Prize for Laboratory or Drawing Office Work. 

The prize recognises excellence in practical engineering work undertaken as part of the Engineering Science course at the University of Oxford. Azka received the award in recognition of the high standard of his laboratory or drawing office work during his studies. 

Practical work forms an important part of Oxford’s Engineering Science degree, giving students the opportunity to apply the theoretical principles explored through lectures and tutorials. Laboratory and project work allow students to develop experimental, analytical and problem-solving skills while gaining experience of the practical challenges involved in engineering. 

The Edgell Sheppee Prize is one of a number of prizes awarded by the Department of Engineering Science to recognise outstanding academic and practical achievement among its students.
