Exeter Fellow contributes to major new AI report for the Greek Government
Exeter College Fellow in Management, Dr Agni Orfanoudaki, has had an integral role in a major report by the Greek Government covering their roadmap for Artificial Intelligence. Governments worldwide are competing to see who can harness the potential of AI. The Greek government is the first one to publish an AI roadmap based on the investigations of a high-level committee.
Dr Orfanoudaki, who recently won one of six Oxford Saïd Research Excellence Awards, was asked to join the committee last year and focused on assessing the readiness of Greece for AI – providing guidance and advice for policymakers. The 150-page report, A Blueprint for Greece’s AI Transformation, was published earlier this month and makes numerous recommendations, including a Data Secretary for Greece, to oversee the changes which are coming.
Dr Orfanoudaki commented, “Being part of this exceptional group of experts and contributing to Greece’s AI transformation has been a true privilege.”
