Exeter student discusses constitutional reform of Burma with Aung San Suu Kyi

Exeter student Andrew McLeod (2012, Law) was involved in discussions regarding the constitutional reform of Burma recently. The talks were led by Burmese politician Aung San Suu Kyi.

Attendees of the workshop to discuss Burma’s constitution included Suu Kyi, current and former members of the Burmese military, leaders of the Union Solidarity and Development Party and representatives from most of Burma’s ethnic groups, as well as international jurisprudence experts. Andrew McLeod is an adjunct lecturer at the Sydney School of Law, which organised the talks.
