Exonian wins EBHC award

Congratulations to Usama Ahmed Ali (2008, Evidence-Based Health Care) who has been presented with the David Sackett Award by the University in recognition of his dissertation.

Mr Ahmed Ali’s examiners were so impressed with his dissertation and general performance that they wanted to award a prize. Finding no prize extant, the University created one especially to honour him. David Sackett, a pioneer in evidence-based medicine and founder of the first department of clinical epidemiology in Canada and the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, read the dissertation and was so impressed that he agreed to sponsor the award.
