Fellow in Spanish Imogen Choi wins annual thesis publication prize
Many congratulations to Imogen Choi, Associate Professor in Spanish Golden Age Literature and Exeter College Fellow in Spanish, who has won the AHGBI/Spanish Embassy Publication Prize for a Doctoral Thesis 2017-2018.
Awarded by the Association of Hispanists of Great Britain and Ireland jointly with the Spanish Embassy, the award recognises the two best theses in Hispanic Studies or Portuguese Studies from the past year. Dr Choi received the award for her thesis, ‘Conflict Ethics and Political Thought in Early Peruvian Epic’. Her thesis will now be published by Tamesis Books, probably in 2019.
Dr Choi’s fellow recipient of the 2017-2018 prize is Dr Natasha Tanna, whose thesis was titled: ‘Queer Genealogies in Transnational Barcelona: Maria-Mercè Marçal, Cristina Peri Rossi, and Flavia Company’.
