Former Exeter organ scholar to perform at the BBC Proms

Former Exeter organ scholar, Richard Hills (1999, Music), is going to perform at the BBC Proms in August.

It will be the only Prom dedicated to the organ in this year’s festival, including pieces by John Ireland, Edward German, Eric Coates, Arthur Sullivan, and Richard Hills himself. It brings together the traditions of the great theatre organist-entertainers and the Town Hall recitalists, with the accent on melody and virtuosity.

The performance will be on Monday 26 August 2013 at 4:30 PM at the Royal Albert Hall. It forms part of the largest and most high-profile classical music festival in the world.
