Former Exeter organ scholar’s work to be performed by the London Oriana Choir

On 13 July 2012 The London Oriana Choir will present a concert in celebration of John Gardener, who was one of Exeter’s organ scholars in the 1930s.

John Gardner was one of Britain’s most talented composers of the 20th century. He died in December 2011 and the London Oriana Choir has decided to remember his life and work through an assortment of Gardner’s most endearing music, as well as some more playful pieces.

Among the people performing in the concert is Claire Warrior, who studied a Masters in Ethnology and Museum Ethnography at Exeter between 1996 and 1997.

The concert will take place at St James’s, Piccadilly. You can purchase tickets from theĀ London Oriana Choir’s website.
