Hollywood comes to Exeter

Exeter College hosted Marvel Studios this week as the Hollywood production company spent two days filming scenes for the forthcoming adaptation of comic book Doctor Strange.

We are bound by a confidentiality agreement and cannot say too much, but the College was pleased to welcome the extensive crew and at least one well known star for the filming which took place in Exeter’s neo-Gothic chapel.

The intense two-day shoot will equate to approximately two minutes of screen time when the film is released in 2016.

Doctor Strange is one of the Avengers team of superheroes. The title role will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch. The film will also star Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton.
